Does your club allow guests and if so, why?

My problem was, I shoot a decent deer then everybody wanted to hunt where I was........ Didn't matter if I was quiet about it. Seemed like they still always found out.......

We allow certain guests. No guests for turkey hunting. The 3 of us in my club that turkey hunt is enough. Deer we allow a family member but if they take a buck it counts as one of your two bucks. My wife's uncle tsking his future son in law this week to our club. He is from Kentucky and probsbly gonna join the club next year anyways. Only stipulation is guests have certain off limit stands unless they are a kid that has never killed a deer or good buck. They typically have to sit on a food plot or stand belonging to who ever brought them. I don't wanna see a buck I am after shot by a guest but at the end of the day it is just a deer. That logic doesn't apply to turkeys for me though. I dont wanna see someone else kill a turkey I am hunting 😂

Friends that are guests are select for predator hunting. Not my rule on that part if it were up to me if someone wanted to coyote or hog hunt only thing I would ask let me get some trigger time too

I watched a Outdoor channel show once and the host took a big bull elk off the land the owner allowed him to hunt on for the show. The landowner of the property beside that land approached them and gave them decent cussing because he siad it was his elk. I mean he raised hell! You can't call dibbs on an animal. Deer, pig, bear or whatever. I can see why he my be disappointed but it shouldn't get any farther than that. There are plenty of those to go around.

We have 10 club members that have each an exclusive area. No guests, and only immediate family members allowed that only live in the household. We also have a 2 buck/2 doe rule, and if 2 bucks are taken at least one has to be shoulder or European mounted. Also, if your family member takes either that counts against your quota. We did have a few past members that used to be part of the previous lease that weren't happy with our setup because they previously had club spots/stands where you could hunt anywhere. Trouble with that for us though was that only me and my buddy (the now club president) were the ONLY ones that would show up to do ANY work, including keeping roads/trails cleared and preparing food plots. Existing members can hunt other member's spot only if given permission, and that rarely happens. I put alot of work into my area each year so I'm good with how the rules are set. And if another member kills a buck I've had my eye on then I'm happy for them. Just grateful that the Lord still gives me health enough to go each year, whether I score one or not.........

Also, the club before us had the "if it's brown it's down" rule, so our doe herd was severely depleted the first couple years that we had the lease. We've been there about 13 years now and the herd has recovered nicely.

“His target buck” I hate hunting with people like this. In 2018 I had to headlock an old man at deer camp and tell him to STFU because he was mad at me for killing too many does at once.

YOU DON’T OWN ANY RIGHTS TO ANY DEER ANYWHERE.

Your “buddy” needs to STFU, dry his tears, and find something else to do.
