Does your club allow guests and if so, why?

I guess maybe I have a different perspective than some, having only ever hunted private family property or maybe I just have enough common sense to understand that having a picture of a buck doesn't make it your's. Being mad at someone else for shooting a specific deer is just ignorant in my opinion. Deer range for miles, especially during the rut. We've shot bucks on our 300-acre property that we've never gotten a picture of on trail cams.

Personally if someone else shoots a big buck on my property or any of my neighbors' properties, aside from the wanton slaughter one of my neighbors was responsible for a couple years ago, then good for them. I'm sure it brought them joy and they were in the right place when that deer decided to walk by and I wasn't. Luck of the draw. Unless you have a high fence property, you have no claim to any deer and no control over where they go, so why get bent out of shape about it?
Totally agree! I must tell you my 25 year old son killed a monster 8 that a few guys had on camera at their corporate lease in Al.…. One guy packed up and left after we brought it into camp….

I was dumbfounded… I talked to my son afterwards and he took it better than me…
He said that guy had been hunting that deer hard for 2 months… And he understood…

I thought it was the most immature thing I had seen a grown man pull…

It’s not “YOUR” deer until you’re dragging it out and loading it up. It’s fair game and free range. Follow the state laws, rules and regulations and go enjoy the outdoors and don’t be a poacher.

We didn’t allow guests on our club in Meriwhether simply because we felt like if we’re doing all the work… food plots, hanging stands, feeding, paying dues etc etc.. then it should be one of us that gets the chance to take the bucks we’d been seeing on cams on our property. It was a team effort and a mutual agreement between members. Kids were ok to come hunt and shoot whatever they wanted even if it was a good buck. We encouraged it. Never turn away a kid that wants to get out there and hunt!

When I stopped buying and eating store bought beef my health got better and I stopped getting sick.
I've eaten venison most of my life. Didn't grow up on it though. I challenged myself to keep a half freezer full most of my adult life. I retired, took one deer my first season and stopped as it seemed. I like warm mornings sleeping late in the bed. I never really saved any money doing so. I just liked living the primitive ways. Nowadays I can do a little more like I want
