Does your handgun have a round in the chamber?

I don't even keep boolits in my clip as it gets to heavy when loaded.

Without a loaded chamber, you might as well carry a knife imo.

Everytime I begin carry or end it I do a press check. The only time my EDC is not loaded with one in the chamber is when there is a specific reason for it to be unloaded.

My little LCP has a "window" so that you can see the round in the chamber.

Nice feature.

Good story. Glad you didn't "need" your pistol over your trip. Would have added to the excitement I'm sure.

This. Could not imagine not having a round in the chamber in any weapon.

If I set my carry weapon down or put it up overnight it gets a quick press check or a quick finger over the extractor indicator when it goes back on the belt. Once a day, beginning every day. I usually carry a Glock19Gen3 so running a finger over the extruded extractor works fine.

+1 on this. I always check each time I strap it on.
