Really!?!? I know where I'll be swimming when the weather warms up. Hahahaha


The water quality between the dam and 285 is actually pretty dang clean. Especially considering all of the areas that section of the river goes through. I tend to practice catch and release but when I do keep 'em I eat 'em and they were probably swimming in the hooch a few hours before they end up on my plate.

I eat trout from the dam all the time. No problems here....dang yuppies!

I fish quite a bit off Barnwell, catch and release only for me...mainly cause the wife can't eat fish.

i only eat my trout when i go up to the mountains. i like em on the fire minutes after i gut them. yum, makin me hungry!!

I have not eaten a fish from the hooch in at least 15 years. I also don't fish there like I used to. If I go fishing, I wouldn't mind eating the trout from north of 285,but I would not feed it to my young kids.

I'm fairly picky about what I'll eat out of Georgia's waters. The majority of what I catch are stockers and haven't grown up in that water anyway. The few I catch and eat instead of release are well north of 285 (but south of the dam).
