WOW, GLWs of big bird. My wife shot me down on a free yorkie rescue the other day so no chance for me.SafeCracka has a huge front yard though. He might could help.
I'm sure my yuppie neighbors and the HOA would love that......
ya i doubt an hoa would allow an emu ! these guys need an absolute minimum of 6 foot fencing. emu ranches have 10ft chainlink.
Big bird is still available, only due to finances or ide keep the big guy.

My Uncle has about 40 acres fenced for cattle and keeps two of these in the same enclosure. I'm sure they could jump the fence if they wanted, but they just hang. He originally got the birds because he was having problems with wild dogs attacking the cattle. The emus attack the dogs and drive them out of their territory. He has kept all sorts of strange pets on his farm over the years including peacocks, talking crows, pot bellied pigs, goats, etc.
Maybe he needs a third?
