Photo of my 1909 No. 1 Mk I.

I acquired this as a sporterized rifle.

I had to scarf the rear portion of the original fore stock to front of a No. 1 Mk III fore stock (notice the different colors).

The unfinished pieces were acquired from EFD out of England and are the correct type for the Mk I.

Also, I know the M1917 sling is not really correct for this rifle, but I just really like them...

This is my favorite.

A No. 1 Mk V trials rifle. About 20,000 were made in 1922-1924. Only about 2,000 were made in 1923, which mine is.

They were a precursor to the No. 4 Mk 1, by moving the rear sight back while leaving the snub nose type nose cap.
