My grandmother lived with me in highschool as my father became her primary caretaker for her dementia and Alzheimer’s. He became passionate about it, got out of the cutthroat tech industry and spent the last half of his career running and managing Asslisted Living Facilities in GA and SC.
The cutthroat nature of the death industry ruined him. How people treat the older generations in their family, especially ones in mental health decline, gave him quite the sour taste on humanity.
He said he will never live in one. He would make sure of it. From what I know through him I’m in the same boat. I’m for legalized euthanasia.
