Ever had to draw your CCW or been tempted to???

Have never felt threatened enough to actually pull. Have however noticed someone or something and immediately snap onto alertness of my g23s location and my surroundings and possible scenarios. I was always taught and follow the rule i only draw if my next move is pulling the trigger. Im not going to show you i have a gun if you see mine its because it is being fired at you! Just my two cents in the matter. I would like to say i am 25 so not all of us youngins out there are quick to draw lol

This one time I was busy doing an errand for a client, I was from out of town so I had taxi shuttle me to a few different errand locations. Well, when I was coming back to the taxi from one of my errands, I noticed a couple dudes walking away with a briefcase. The briefcase kind of looked like mine, so I said "Yo homie, is that my briefcase?" Well at that point one of the guys pulls out a gun and they start walking to me really fast, wanting more items of mine. Since they had the upper ground, I raised me hands in the air in a surrender pose. They came so close the guy's pistol was right near my head. Man, my adrenaline was sky high at that moment. Then I snapped. With my left hand I swatted the guy's pistol as hard as I could. Pretty much at the same time I started drawing my HK USP 45 that was on my 3 o'clock position. As soon as I cleared the holster and leveled my pistol, I fired off 2 shots. Yeah, I was hip shooting, but I hit the guy in the chest with both my shots. Since that guy was out of action I immediately turned my attention to the second bad guy who was in the process of drawing his own pistol. I instinctively did a double tap to his chest and also quickly put one in his brain box. Game over for those bad guys.

It was an extremely traumatic event, but all those years training paid off.

Threatening to go get something is cause for you to brandish a weapon? You would rather sit in front of his house and escalate the situation by bringing a firearm into the mix instead of just pulling away?

I really think many of you need to rethink carrying a gun. The stuff some of you pull for is not worth killing someone over or losing your ability to carry a gun.

But no, gun owners are safe and responsible right? Unless you say something to someone that hurts their feelings or manhood.

A lot of mental preparedness should go into carrying a firearm. Dont take it lightly. Im also amazed at some of the bravado. Check out Mas' book, "In The Gravest Extreme".

Ego gets you nowhere. Escalation of force clears the other guy if they shoot you for showing your gun first if its somewhere they have a right to be. They can then say "he showed me his gun with threat of intent and I feared for my life." I will apologize for something I didnt do, walk away, etc. if Im not on/in my property or my life/families life isnt in immediate danger. Im not going to let owning a firearm and having a short fuse cost me my life, my freedom, or a foretune if I can avoid it. There are situations to deploy without pulling the trigger absolutely, just some of the reasons on here are criminal.

Walk tall, carry a big stick (or firearm), and be prepared to take evasive action if you have a choice over ending a life. Pride be damned.

Otherwise, if the situation dictates, deploy and fire- aiming to win the fight.
