EV's are NOT America's future!

Well figure out how to charge your ****ing batteries without fossil fuels… I will wait….
I have never said I wanted to ban fossil fuels. I'm only here because someone started spouting the usual falsehoods about EVs, and I just want everyone to make decisions based on facts. I wrote a really long post to that effect about 15-20 pages ago.

Now, I would prefer to be a nation that gets its power from nuclear and requires a lot less oil so we could tell everyone in the Middle East to go pound sand - but I'm not telling anyone to do anything.

And, to your point, today it is difficult to charge running batteries without fossil fuels. Nuclear is the way to go.

And Nuclear Energy is Not Highly Subsidized….???

Really You are making yourself look like a complete ass

Perhaps you could remind me of the posting where I said nuclear was not subsidized.

Since I am "making myself look like a complete ass" it should be quite easy to find.
Your issue seems to be subsidies…. Or who gets favoritism… Show me your way around subsidies…?

This is actually getting fun!

Again, I'm sure the 82,000 marine animals that died (low estimate) don't feel like it's such a small thing.

Do you toss your trash out the window and then say "Yeah, but that coke can is so small compared to the surface of the Earth - who cares?"

Or maybe it's OK to punch some random stranger, and then say "But there's 8 billion people on the Earth, so that's a really small sample."
82,000...hummmm exactly who did the counting???
and where were they, when they counted
funny I enjoyed a beach vacation during all that mess...I was in Ft Walton....I didn't see anything(animals or oil) washing up on the beach....I did see a bunch of folks walking the beach, looking for oil deposits.....wasn't any, of course...they soaked BP for that mess too....BTW...I made a lot of money on BP stock during that time

Well, I guess if you weren't affected in Ft Walton by an oil leak 41 miles off the coast of Louisiana, then I guess it didn't happen.

Fake. Definitely not A dead dolphin in Plaquemines Parish alongside tar balls Aug. 5, 2010.

Nope. No way this is Robinson Bayou, Sept. 18, 2010.

1754358425626.png

No way this is oil washing ashore June 26, 2010, in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Just more food for the oil eating bacteria.

These pelicans are NOT covered in oil.

This oil on the shore of Secour National Wildlife Refuge in Alabama, June 12, 2010 did not affect anyone in Ft Walton.

That guy in the nosebleed seats wouldn't be affected by you drinking 20 oz. of crude on the 50 yard line, either.

"Show me your way around subsidies"

I'm going to go with "end them".

I'm a fan of the free market. The issue with subsidies is that we never really know what something costs, since our taxes are fungible. Big oil, Big coal, Big solar, Big EV, Big whatever ends up buying congress critters and we pay for it through our taxes, without knowing what we're even paying for or how much it really costs. Let every industry stand on its own merits and costs.

Wasn't it already fun when you were telling me to STFU and calling me an ass?

Yes that part was fun…
