Scotty probably knows more about EVs than the people selling them do, and yes he does know how to diagnose and fix both old and modern vehicles. He also likes the idea of kits that transform older ICE cars into EVs.

You just don't get it.

Scotty reports that these kits are being used in Europe and that he would like to try one, he still believes manufacturing new EVs is stupid and NOT the future.

Donut takes an EV truck out of LA for a weekend of light off-roading. They charged it an hour up the road. Then it was less than two hours to the next stop where they had to charge again. And then they got out to the desert eventually where it was colder than they expected. In the end, they have to turn around because the battery kept dying faster than expected.

Looks like a big slow piece of junk. EV version will doing everything it does but faster, stronger and better.
