I think most people who cast, especially on a larger scale, don't find it worth their time to get lead this way. The other day I spent about 2.5 hours walking a 1 mile stretch down one side and back the other on a busy exit off 85 in 90 degree heat and found about 8 pounds.I often wondered if I was the only nut that did this.
Not that I would want to turn down that much lead from a keel, but I'd have no way of hauling it off or cutting it up lol.If you have any friends that work at marinas, ask them about scraped sails boats. The keels are packed full of lead. Also your dentist, the xray films contain lead, He prolly has jugs full.
Chainsaw does quite well! Not that I would want to turn down that much lead from a keel, but I'd have no way of hauling it off or cutting it up lol.
Time to book a dentist appointment.
