Fish size question

I mentioned to a friend of mine that I was catching bass like crazy the other morning and he wanted to know how big. I said maybe 5-6 lbs for the bigger ones and he spent the rest of the day accusing me of fish stories, despite having taken some photos.

Any opinion on these bass weights? I've never weighed a fish. That is a size 11 shoe.

I was at a friend's house and was the only one awake around 7 am. I saw the fish feeding, grabbed a rod and caught about 20 in a short time frame. I didn't have time for bug spray so I went in pajamas.
