Flashed weapon today, did I handle this correctly?

Atop trying to be the white knight unless great bodily harm or death mind your business
good to know you'd just leave a woman to fend for herself in a potentially dangerous situation....I guess her getting abducted, raped and murdered by some crackheads isnt worthy of your valuable time.

yes you did fine. funny, i had a similar situation at a checkers but for some reason a few folks on here thought me as the aggressor (cause obviously they saw it go down) :)

do what you need to protect yourself. if you let someone too close to you then its already over. some people have absolutely NOTHING to live for and dont mind harming a stranger

We were working in midtown 10 years ago across the street for the Cheetah. A crane operator and myself walked up to the Checker's on 14th street. A homeless guy was harassing the lady in front of us trying to get money from her. He became more agitated every second cause she kept telling him he was getting crap. Finally she told him to GTF away from her and cleared his throat and spit right in her face. The crane operator was right in front of me and he knocked the guy for a loop hitting him square in the nose. Old boy got up running his mouth like he was about to do something, half of the people in line was all from the same job and we quickly stepped up to squash any resistance. When we got up there to pay for our food the manager was glad of what we did and the crane operator got a free meal that day. The bum had started coming up there everyday begging money from people in line and they were tired of it. Needless to say that was the last time I seen him up there. Sometimes these bums can be to much and you handled it the best way possible! I'm sure somebody is very thankful cause if you hadn't stepped in it could have been much worse.

You end up back there someday. There they are smiling at you from a distance. How do you feel about not following your rule now? What does the rule mean to you? Vulcans never bluff.

As a former popo for the former great State of GA, I can tell that you violated no state laws. You were in fear for your safety (3 against 1), so you were justified in your actions. I just wished that you were packing a Hi Point JHP 45 acp when the s--t went down........

But if the thugs saw a high point they woulda thought they were all brothas and tried to hug him, I don't want a crack head touching me!

Yep and scan 360 for the guy you don't see sneaking up.

I just read Protective Measures as expected most correct reply. The calling the police thing is really important. A thug reporting a citizen flashing a gun has resulted in arrest of the citizen and potential loss of carry rights. In anti-rights states where the right to open carry has been criminalized it's even more of an issue.

Why do cops favor whoever called first?
