I buy them from a wholesaler. He owns a couple of boats and gets them from other boats. If you buy off of the boat they usually aren't sorted. These are. They are 21 shrimp to a pound. I call them 2 biters. Takes 2 bites to eat the shrimp. I boiled some last night and made some melted butter mixed with Franks Red Hot for dipping. Good stuff.

for work I go thru Biloxi MS every so often and figured out where all the shrimp boats dock there so I pick up a cooler full when I'm on my way home. good stuff.

I miss getting royal reds from the Gulf Shores area though. those are the best shrimp I've had, but hard to find.
