Ga Renaissance Festival

As another poster stated, the NC one is the better event to go to. It spans from October through November when the weather up there is good, and the leaves are changing colors. There's just something about drinking mead in 90F weather and high humidity that makes the GA one an awful experience, for me at least. How else do we get the sea shanties going?
Yeah, I've never understood why people plan outdoors events during summer in the south.

Well, the days ARE longer in the early summer. Extra hours of daylight to keep the festivities going longer, or to allow more time to clean up & pack up
after the public has left.

Holdover from the pre-ubiquitous air conditioning days. We used to have a tolerance for the heat and humidity.
A/C is God’s curse on the lifestyle of the Old South.
Yea, but there's something about Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, and Mississippi's humid heat that is extra punishing. I'd rather be in under the shade in 110F Arizona heat than anywhere in NOLA in July.
