Time and effort! If you can get your hands on an ozone generator, that will destroy the odors.

i've had lots of experience w/those things. they don't work that well. and take a lot more time than necessary to do the job.

in this instance, DP needs an odor absorber, then a neutralizer, then something to put a different, better smell in the car

Have a rental property that had a real bad dog smell after tenets moved out, I used half and half mixture of vinegar and water in a steam cleaner, believe it or not, it worked very well!! And cheap too!
