The country doesn't work because some forum members called out another member for cluelessly starting a "news" thread about an old topic? That seems pretty reductive.

Most intelligent, thoughtful and mature people wouldn't give a damn about it. It wouldn't be a big deal. If one person read it for the first time, the whole post wouldn't have been wasted. It would probably amaze you how much stuff I let go because my life is not such that trying to be an Internet bully isn't that important to me.

The difference between us, other than maturity and having priorities, my life is not so drab that I have to follow a multitude to try and entertain myself at someone else's expense. Go ahead and flame away. Show me how much free time that you have on your hands to try and put someone down.

Maybe he knew it was old. Maybe that was the point. Maybe he woke up, stared at the ceiling, and said, “Today’s the day I remind the internet that time is fake and Anderson belongs to Ruger now.” Maybe he’s the canary in the lower-parts-kit mine.

Everyone’s acting like he showed up to a funeral with balloons. But what if the balloons are prophetic? What if he’s not late—what if we’re early, and Ruger hasn’t even really acquired Anderson yet in the spiritual sense?

I've got this bad feeling that all the ar manufacturers are suffering slow sales now. Probably in 3 or 4 years there might be only 2 manufacturers left.

I doubt it will be that bad, however I do believe the AR platform and 5.56NATO round are starting on there downhill, just like 308WIN/ 7.62NATO did in the 70's.

It will take years, upon years to see it but the best manufacturers in their respective price points will win the long game.

Most of what I'm seeing right now is new AR manufacturers getting into the business. Yes, Anderson is gone, but now we have Hi-Point manufacturing AR's. Lost a company, gained a company.

I seen no reason that Hi-Point AR's will be made any worse than Andersons or Rugers were/are.

Still waiting for Glock to release the ones they submitted to the UK SOF bid. The KAC won, and it’s nice, but I’m interested to see how Glock does the AR15 the same and or different.
