Got a REAL stumper for the experts

Cept even with a blockoff plate, the problem persists :)

Is it safe to assume that the plugs/wires/cap/coil/rotor/etc... have all been checked? Is this a vacuum advanced dist?

Have you checked for a vacuum leak using the tried and true starting fluid method?

Aye, all fresh and checked, and no these are computer controlled advance. Vac leaks were checked for with propane and carb cleaner, lifter valley manifold leaks with a vac gauge with PCV Removed and valve cover blowby capped. (if vacum is introduced into lifter valley, it draws air/oil from Crankcase- usually there's carbon fouling associated with this sort of leak, and it would ahve to be quite large for this kind of power loss))

Have you tried putting an analog multimeter on the TPC (new or not) to see if the readings are linear and solid? Have you checked the same at the far end of those connections?

Ok, I haven't read every post, but the fuel regulators on these will cause the described problems. I chased the same issue for months until a friend told me to replace the regulator in the throttle body. $15 for the kit and no more issues, kept that truck for years.
