Graylaser engraving!!!

Can someone tell me why I can't engrave on a MP5 housing? Isn't that like engraving on an AR lower?

Is it because of atf regulations or because the receiver is steel?

I know the regulations is to engrave on barrel or receiver.... The lower on AR15 is like the housing on an MP5... It both contains the trigger components and hammer ect...

The difference is what contains the serial number. On an mp5 that's the upper. On an ar it's the lower. It's all about what the ATF considers to be the "firearm".

Wel,, Barrel is an option but if I engrave there, it would be blocked by the handguard. Damn ATF and their stupid rulings.
