First time ever. Scared the crap out of me
Was unloading my 3030 thought I had all the bullets out . Went to let the hammer down and it slipped and went off..

Went thru my driver's seat and hit my radio.. nothing else that I can see was harmed...

Has anyone ever accidentally discharged your rifle??

I went squirrel hunting with my 2 stepsons a long time ago. They had shotguns, I had a Remmy Speedmaster. When we got home, they went to dressing the squirrels and I walked inside. Cleared the chamber 4 or 5 times, pointed the muzzle up and POW. Couldn’t believe it. Shot a hole through the ceiling and the roof. It was my Granddads rifle given to me by my Dad. A few months later I told my old man what I did. He laughed his ass off. Told me he did the same thing with the same rifle when he was a kid except he aimed it at a pair of boots on the floor. ALWAYS VISUALLY CHECK.

Yes, 25-06 that was “unloaded” cost me a day at work and blow out a living room window. My Wife still busts my chops about it, almost 10 years later.

I got it in trade to swap scopes with my .270. When finish I worked the bolt and held the trigger. (Which is how I store all my bolt actions)
Having received no ammo in trade, owing no 25-06 ammo, what could happen? BOOM!

Rest his soul, the gent I got it from said he was throwing in his last 3 rds in the mag and forgot to tell me.
Long short MY DUMB A$$ didn’t check it my self.
