Hazards of free range brass

Ive heard of people reaming the small primer pocket out to accept a large primer, seems like more wear on your tools than the brass is worth though. i guess if you are determined to use that brass, have at it

Free range brass, You get what You pay for! You don't know how much its been reloaded or what charge was used, best to if you didn't shoot it,leave it on the ground

Whatever free range brass I pick up and decide is unfit gets traded at the salvage yard for lead.

I have been reloading and using range brass for many years. I have seen where some people will enlarge the flash hole especially in .45ACP. It is supposed to give better and more uniform ignition of the powder. I am not sure if it actually work though.
