Heritage 22

say you buy a Heritage 22 and it comes with a LR cylinder. You can buy a Mag cylinder for $30. They just pull one out of a barrel and hope it is timed?

I believe so lol but I have never had a issue with the cylinders on heritage. I know if you have any other revolvers that are made higher quality it is recommended to have a new cylinder fitted and timed.

All the Ruger convertible Single six or Blackhawks I own, the magnum cylinder or the cylinder that is chambered for the rimless cartridge is electro pencil etched with 3 numbers which correlate with the last 3 numbers of the serial number on the front of the cylinder.
Meaning it was timed to that specific gun at the factory.

When I had a pair of heritage revolvers, I bought the magnum cylinder after the having both revolvers. The magnum cylinder worked in the barkeep and theb6 1/2 revolver just the same.
