I have had no problems with mine. I was extremely pleased with the ease of the setup. I bought mine at BJs when they were on sale. The system also comes with a SD Card that will hold up to 55 hours of recording. The system does not record constantly. Only when something activates the sensors. It has several settings so you can adjust it to you liking. The best part about the wifi is if you want to move a camera just unplug it and move it to another position. The only downside is the camera has to be within 10 or 15 foot from an electrical outlet.

The Uniden system has an app that allows remote viewing. You can also listen or talk over the cameras. We have AT&T so the connection is a little slow be still good. Broad-ban would probably work a little fasted. I don't have a problem with clarity and the cameras will pickup motion through a window. Setup is quick. I paid $190.00 for a system with 2 cameras and an extra camera cost $90.00.

do you have your cameras installed inside of your residence? If they are have you had any issues with the IR and the glass

Okay, so what would you recommend if I wanted a 4-5 camera setup? With 4-5 cameras, I would prefer to not spend $200 per camera because that gets expensive.

Every system i install is custom tailored to the location, one issue with the system in a box is that you get X number of the same model camera. And where that camera might work well at the front door it may not do well at another. Lens size, FOV, IR strength all need to be factored in when planning a system. One thing to keep in mind is that a camera system can be built over time.

Yes all three are inside the house. No problems with the IR so far. There is an adjustment for the sensitivity. We just recently went on vacation and the system worked great. Even caught my daughter and son-in-law coming in from 800 miles away.

I used to install Geovision a few years ago, really nice software, the customers always proved to be the weak link when using a PC based system.
I agree with that. The software can be REALLY complex and do more than anyone person could ever imagine. The fisheye cameras for example. Good lord they will do a ton.
Is there something better?

There is an app you can download that cost a couple dollars, that you use your webcams, and it will send you alerts on your phone when there is movement.

IP cameras are the best quality out there right now. Just like anything else you get what you pay for. There are still some nice HD analog cams but the IP is super nice. Depends really what your looking for? You can just use one cam for nothing but viewing or if you are wanting to record run it through a PC or get a DVR. They mere them to where you can view remotely VIA PC or mobile.

Listen to @Jbum he knows what he's taking about.
