This was my third truck
By far my favorite and very comfortable
Those cab overs scare the crap outta me when riding in them!

Sure. I’ll squeeze in too since I used to drive a 67 Kaiser deuce n half.
Just watched a video last night on the history of Western Star. They close out the top 3 of favorites for me. The 4900 is one rugged truck! Are you a long hauler or regional?

You ARE the crumple zone .
So you drive carefully
The short wheelbase is Very handy when you’re backing up to 5-10 docks a day ,
And this one rode very nice
The COEs with leaf springs on the back axles rode super rough
And so did the long hood ones
But having the set back steer axle and air suspension on the drive axles made a comfy ride
Now that's funny, don't care who you are.I want to see that train back up to a dock in Philly.
This is the Triple Crown Roadrailer
I figured this would take over trucking since they hauled them long distance on the rail , but they are now out of business.
When did they go out of business, I’ve seen them recently on the rail??
More than likely they have been bought out or bought someone else out and used a different name.I think they have one terminal left open in Michigan and one in Kansas
I think they closed all the rest and sold off most of their roadrailers
I’ve seen lots of roadrailers on the highway with the attachments for the rail stuff cut off
Think They might be using some containers now ,
Used to see the trailers all over Atlanta. I know they closed their terminal in east point , it’s visible from the Lakewood Langford freeway
