How to refile a disapproved form 1?

hey folks,

I accidentally put my personal name instead of my trust name in line 3b of my form 1. Received disapproval notice today. How do info about fixing this and do I go to the back of the line for another 4-5 months?

Never had this happen to me but if I recall correctly you just have to email them and they should fix it without you having to start the wait all over.

I filled out a part incorrectly long ago, but it wasn't disapproved. They just told me what correction I needed to make and initial. I mailed it back and did not have to "start over" as it was approved a few weeks later.

Call the atf and speak to the agent who signed it, he or she will direct u in what to do. Believe it or not they can be helpful sometimes. Haha

Just noticed you said it was an Efile. Yeah click on that talk to an expert. usually takes them 24-48 hrs to reply.

Perform the following steps:

- Reapply
- Email ted.clutter@atf.gov with the original control number and new control number telling him what you did wrong
- Ted usually corrects the problem and sends your approval within a day or two.
- It will take about 6 weeks to get your refund from the original application.

I recently E-filed a Form 1 that had a 'mistake' in that the manufacturer/model was not on their pre-populated list, so I knew it was going to get delayed from the get-go. That means it goes into 'pending research' before it can actually get processed. It was 19 calendar days since submission that they contacted me to get clarification on the make/model.
