When I was in kindergarten back in ‘71 or ‘72 one of the carpool moms had an orange one with no rollbar. She would let us ride the long straight part of the way home sitting up on the top with our feet on the back seat, parade style. No belts. My how times have changed. These days she’d prolly get locked up for that.

That's great, my wife's family had a beetle when we were kids and her family of 7 could all fit in the bug to go to town if 2 toddlers sat in the back window cubbie hole.
