Almost 20,000 steps today setting and shooting/RO'ing a 3-Gun match. These 6lb Wolverine Herrins aren't cutting it anymore. Doesn't matter anyway as they are no longer made and the evil, profiteering, non brotherhood boot flippers on the imnernet want gouging prices for new/old stock.

Any recommendations for a good steel toed 8" work boot that might weigh less than 6lb/pr?

You can't go wrong with Danners, I have several pair that I alternate. They are very comfortable and durable, and this is coming form someone that has had both feet operated on for heel spurs and plantar fascitis and two vertabrae fused...between my feet and my back, I can't afford to wear bad shoes...I pay for it for days afterwards!

I bought an emergency pair in Colorado while on vacation. They worked fine . Would I work in them no. But for kicking around town. Sure .lol
