I picked up a Dead Wolf on I-20... then THIS happened.

What could have caused the fire?

Have you thought about getting the NTSB involved?

I asked State Farm about it, they thought  (you would think that they would know) that the fire dept. report is what alerts them.
There is a website to fill out a report, I will probably go to it this weekend.
Is there pain and suffering for being afraid of lightening bugs? :)

PS I placed a small order ($6,000.00) for "no flamerEd" ( SafeCracka SafeCracka ) clothes....

payneed payneed , what's the update? Are the dealership/BMW/insurance company playing nice?
Interested in how this plays out and if anyone steps up and does the right thing.

UPDATE!
State Farm has been FANTASTIC!!! Paid me (check is in the mail {rut roh}) $2,200 more than I paid for the car 90 days ago. :clap2::clap2::clap2:
I am VERY VERY pleased! They paid the price of the car, advalorem tax, dealer fees, etc. +$2,200 :thumb: I got a good deal on the flamer but they knew exactly what I paid and I guess they figured I couldn't replace it (they are right) for what I originally paid, anywhere around here...
The Dealership not so much... They will assume no liability, haven't offered me squat, other than "We are glad you are OK"
Yeah, you better be homies... a "my bad" comes pretty cheap compared to millions in damages they could be facing. (my wife holds me in high regard :))
State Farm has an expert taking the car apart, investigating it (sort of like when a plane crashes) they are going after BMW, big time, but I am out of it.
New Jersey (BMW North America Corporate) has been real interested, and I have talked to 4 different people, trying to get some satisfaction.
I called corporate customer relations first and 3 different "higher ups" have called wanting to hear my story... The last one that called offered $4,000 towards a new BMW so... like 7% of a new one...
I'm still not sure what I am going to get... but it is going to have flames or at least this. :pound:

Wait what? They paid the tax? I heard you're supposed to get screwed over on the tax in a situation like this....well, I read it in another thread.....

I typically don't answer calls I don't recognize, and I put "Burn Baby Burn - Disco Inferno" on as my call holding music... :)
They have enjoyed my sense of humor... or so they say...
I think Melissa, my total loss claims representative likes me, she said I remind her of her great great grandfather that they had cremated. :flame: :pound:
Only bad part is my rental car (it only costs me $5 a day) goes away in less than a week.

I was implying that "had I died" it would have cost them millions in death benefits and bad advertising... but yours was funnier. :thumb:
