If massive power outages, Govt. tyranny were to happen I think the ones that would suffer would be the inner city duechenozzles. Country folk would be fine, we'd survive and troll into the cities when we needed to get more clothes I really don't think they could "survive" much less find their way around in the dark without streetlights. Ummm... you haven't thought this out too well, in my opinion. Us "country folk" would be too dam busy trying to protect our families, ammo, and food to stroll down to lenox mall and go shopping. Maybe you meant your post as a joke, and I didn't get it, but the power going out for an extended period would be hard on everyone. Unless you have always lived without electricity and therefore would be used to it. No electricity means no heat, no A/C, no communications, no banking system, sometimes no water or gas. people would freak the heck out. people would be leaving the big cities in droves and heading straight at us country folk.

Really??? worried about Gangbangers? I dont think so... The urban mass who has no water, food, and no guns will push out. The gangs will be OK for awhile, untill all the stuff in the city runs out. If the lights were to go out tommrow, for say a month, no food in stores, no law to speak of, no water...If that happen... we would not have to EVER worry about one single gun law ever being passed again...EVER and all the bed wetting, booger eating, people who thought the goverment would take care of them... well if they lived... would see the error of there ways.

Not Everyone.....but Most.

The problem with the loss of power isn't the gangs, the violence, or lack of supplies (Granted those are REALLY bad things) but the worst will come from human ignorance and disease. People will not know how to properly dispose of their waste/Dead, which will bring in large amounts of rats, which in turn will bring in diseases we have no cure for (No power to keep antiobiotics cool).

I wouldn't be too worried about living in the country (If you are over 2 hours from a major city) because most people would die during the migration.....just think about how many places they have to stop before they get to you? How many of those people are going to be armed, scared, and ready to go native?

Thats one of my biggest fears is getting shot while walking across someones back yard
