No, but you can print wirelessly, provided you have a wireless printer.
I would buy the latest one in 16g wifi but only get 4g if you travel places you want Internet and its not provided.
If you plan to put movies on it the get more memory and you can print of you have a wireless printer.
I believe micro center has better prices then the apple store.
Also apple offers free classes on using them. Very helpfull if its your first.

I have a gen 2 w/ wifi and wireless. If you only plan to use it at home and a local coffee shop, wifi is okay. Keep in mind if you get the wifi only model you can't add wireless after the fact and if you get the wireless model, you don't have to use the service unless you want to. Buying anything other than the gen 4 is like buying a flip phone, it'll be outta date before you realize the mistake you made.
I've had them all. Currently on the mini, mine is cellular and wi fi, I just do not use the cellular . But if I need to I can. I always went with large GB, now I have the 16 and push everything to the cloud, still have 14 left
ONLY if your wireless printer has AirPrint built in. If not you have to jump through hoops and buy / use an additional app to print from.
