Is it worth buying a single six over a heritage 22?

I have a heritage. Love the cheap little thing. Saw a nice SS single six up and wondering if it's actually any nicer for what I use my heritage for, murdering chickens.

From a collector standpoint it probably IS worth paying the extra money for the Ruger. But just as a single action 22 plinker I would go with the Heritage.

An old hi standard 9 shot will serve you well

I reckon the really only correct answer is,If you are only gonna shoot chickens with it you need the most expensive 22 gun known to man and it must shoot more than 5 times.

Single Sixes are much, much better guns than the Heritage, but you pay for it.

Look at the Ruger Wranglers if you want a low-cost, reliable, well-made 'cowboy' 22.

I like my heritages. Remind me of cap guns when I was a kid. Except with 22 magnum rounds

Played with them all. If money wasn't an issue I'd get the Bearcat or whatever it is. Pops has one and that's a smooth d/a ruger
