Issues with a Harley

He leaves for the marine corps next month. He is just trying to decide on storing it until he gets back or selling it to have one less worry.

Fuel was changed, carb rebuild by a "harley" specialist, and its getting spark at the plug. Turns over all day just wont start

Oil is good

Sorry, our posts must have crossed. Didn't see the info about the carb rebuild. Have you checked the timing? That's where I'd probably go next. Make sure it's still in time and the points are clean and gap set correctly. If that's all good, it might be time for a compression check on both cylinders. The only other thing I can think of is removing the float bowl to be sure the carb is getting enough fuel to run. Not calling out the guy who did the rebuild, but jets can be again to get completely clean. Good luck!

We think its a timing issue. That or the carb wasnt done correctly

Pour some mechanic in a bottle in carb after cleaning the bowl..let sit overnight..put a new plug and gas and give it a whirl with some starting fluid. Easiest try for firing/fuel issue.

Does it have fire at the coil if not prob an ignition adjustment If yes prob the carb. It’s a really simple system to work on . Only takes fuel air fire and compression to run
