If you were to own just one 45 ACP pistol, what would it be?

I'm thinking of getting back on the 45 ACP game. Not planning on getting any more than just one. What would be your recommendations?

If you have to limit it to one, I'm going to have to say go with a Glock G21. Reliability and capacity.

Others in order of preference would be:
Walther PPQ 45 (trigger, capacity)
HK USP45 Expert
SA 1911 TRP
Colt 1911 Competition

All can be found for under $1200.

Glock 21 carried on duty for years. I really like my older STI and Dan Wesson, But if I had to pick just one it would be the Glock. Parts availability, light weight, easy to take apart all the way, holds more rounds than most others.
Yep. If you could only have one.

Without parameters like concealability, weight, length etc., I really liked a Springfield XD45 Tactical 5” (the first Gen 45acp they introduced) I had awhile back. It’s one of the few guns I traded that I’d like to get back. Good grip angle, good trigger, good ergonomics, high capacity at 14 rounds, and decent price.
