Kicking the hornet's nest, 40 S&W or 9mm for home defense

Which would you choice and why? (I already know 45acp is better than the 2 choices above )

Just to keep the capacity variable somewhat equal, the pistol would be a Glock 23 or 19.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of either. And while untested by me, I think 9mm will kill them enough.

I own and carry both, 9 mm is my EDC , but I do carry my fortay loaded with DT 155 bonded JHP cruising at 1240 FPS when it's required to bring a bigger gun,ie riots, etc, etc

Which ever one you shoot better and feel more comfortable with. I was fine with both but the wife shoots 9mm better. So that was my choice.

What do you mean getting to my rifle? It is never out of reach. My Glock 23 is IWB so long as I am wearing pants.

I usually keep various cannons laying around the house in little stashed away spots so I'm always within reach of a magnum or 45 colt either one. Best is the shotty, if you can get to it or the AR ya got em whooped !!
