Do you mean like the trigger guard and string? I find they seem to be a great alternative.

No, not quite that minimalistic.

This is my current EDC. I have a similar setup for my 19x but don’t carry that much in the summer.

Y’all do whatever works best for you, but they make reholstering a much more involved and frustrating process. I can almost guarantee if you’re a civilian in a gunfight/shooting you’re going to want to reholster before/as the police show up. I have one, but I now only use it when I’m grappling with blue guns or similar.

My gun comes on and off just as fast as a regular holster, except u like traditional holsters, my trigger is covered and protected while putting the gun on or taking it off.

The only time it takes longer is if I drew my weapon, and then it’s only a couple extra seconds while I reach down and pull off my holster, snap it back on the gun, and then back in my pants it goes.


Not only that, but this is FAR safer since I can load and unload my firearm without ever having the trigger exposed.

Good information in this thread.

I only carry in the pocket or OWB. All of my OWB holsters are leather with a thumb break. IWB does not work for me.

Less than leather when carried IWB and I wouldn’t care anyway.
