Well, taking my first dive into having a custom rifle built and looking for feedback on chassis options. Somewhat thinking this part out too much not wanting to make a $1,000 mistake. Would be nice if someone stocked these things so that I could finger bang them. Rifle to be chambered in 6.5 creedmoor built off a Remington 700 receiver. Bartlein 24 inch barrel. Rifle will primarily be used for PRS shoots, training, etc.
Here's the list of what I'm currently looking at, feel free to offer up other options and certainly input your thoughts if you have experience with any of these. No particular order.
1. KRG Whiskey 3 - non-folding version.
2. Scratched off the list
3. PDC Gen 4 competition chassis
4. MDT ESS with 18 inch forend and ESS stock
Have a HS Precision M40 stock ready to go, but not enough length to get a medium bag on there with a bipod attached, but will suffice for the time being.
Needs:
- AICS style mags
- Flush cups
- Fully adjustable LOP and weld
JAE seems to fit the bill perfectly, but too pricey for me. Trying to stay under $1,300 or so.
