Yeah, that's pretty much why they're a pain in the ass for me - lol.

We used some of the Berkley Gulp fake chicken livers last weekend and they worked great! Them things stink and will not sling off the hook. We caught multiple fish off the same chunk. Big cats too. Our biggest was a 20 lber. No more tub of livers and panty hose for me.

We make a small rack out of hardware cloth ,cut the liver into quarter sized chunks ,lay the pieces on the rack. In just a few minutes they dry like skin on the outside and can be hooked thru a couple times .
Works great and won't sling off. :0)
