LOCKTITE ON THREAD PROTECTOR???'s

I have a 9/16x24 thread protector for my Glock 27 tgreaded barrel and was wondering can I use blue locktite on the threads to keep the thread protector from walking off or what?Thanks

I put some semi-permanent locktite on the thread protector of a used rifle I bought. It did not come off, but the heat from shooting loosened it. So I wrapped the barrel threads with plumbers tape and screwed it back down and it has been good to go.

A dab of blue loctite wouldn’t hurt it. If it were me, I’d use Vibra-Tite VC3.
