Congratulations on the move, awesome looking house, what happen to the fence? all the yards are squared off, builder run out of wood or maybe quitting time for the crew 
When i lived in Louisiana used to fish the Pearl River a lot for catfish also good Deer and Turkey hunting. Lots to do in the area, enjoy.

I'm not thrilled with the driveway. I think I'm going to paving stones or concrete in front of the gate/ tall carport, for extra parking space.

I have no idea why the fence is like that. Not a big deal, my wife insisted on having a pool, and she is going to clean it. ( or at least pay for the pools upkeep. )
Be sure to check with your HOA first....
