Low balling

If it doesn't say firm how are you supposed to know what they would actually take? What do guys consider a fair offer say on a 300$ gun that they are asking 325$

I had a rifle listed for $500.00.
A member offered me $400.00 i.
I said ok, I'll meet you in Eatonton and lt's deal.
He had some concern that I was going to be an ass about him "lowballing" me.
20% off the asking price isn't a lowball offer, I may not accept, but non the less not a lowball.

I have many rude inconsiderate asshats on Ignore, due to their lack of response to an offer.

Usually when I say "firm," that means I'm already taking a huge loss and I'm not willing to take any less than that.

Also, if someone lowballs but it isn't horrendously low, I'll play ball and counter offer. But if it's a ridiculous lowball, I won't waste my time with a reply.

I’ve started to realize it’s the ODT way. People don’t hesitate to offer me half my asking price so I may as well do the same. Might fall into a good deal.

You've been around long enough to know it wasn't always this way. Damn I miss the old days.
