Lubing an AR

I always use Auto Zone red high temp grease. It's good stuff, actually, and very cheap.
I do not apply the grease liberally on the cam pin, but definitely see the logic here and will start giving it more attention. Also the upper channels where the BCG rides is a spot I neglect.

I just use oil not a heavy grease like that. Max pro is my go to. I'm also guilty of putting a little oil on the trigger springs and firing pin. Glad I dont live in colder temps after reading that. I also use a tiny spray of rem dry oil in the barrel after using a bore cleaner. As they said a little oil is fine but not theirs because it's different I think I'm ok with that. Good read thanks for posting. Might have to clean out my trigger springs firing pin/channel.
