GEZZZ...I've herd soo much...apparently the boat lost power...drifted off course...regained power...went into full reverse...threw out the anchor...stopped right at the bridge, after collision...going too fast...how...not in control??? well who can control a boat with no power....looks like we all need a bit more info before we fry the pilot...which maybe was a harbor master....who knows at this point???
I think, what we do know is the Obiden is going to pay for it, which means we will...AND it's not going to be renamed the Francis Scott Key bridge...I'll bet you that!!! I'm thinking the George Floyd memorial bridge...it's got a nice ring to it!!

It looks almost as if when the captain released the port anchor to slow it down, it whipped it around into the bridge. Just looks that way to me...

What is strange is that this event has just about disappeared from the media coverage. This will be a major financial impact to that area and also goods moving around the country.

There is a private video out shown what appears as controlled demolition charges going off, then the bridge coming down accordingly. I assume there is a massive manhunt for the photographer. My wife says it is/was on facebook which I do not have.

Can’t tell why the collision happened, but I can tell that every bridge in America, is a no wake zone, before, and after the bridge..that boat was going way too fast…if your boat is a run away, shut fuel cocks off, and throw your hook, I’m thinking the captain panicked..Coast Guard will jerk his ticket for that 1!

Reports were they were going 8 knots - too fast for the area.
Supposed to be a video showing at least 1 anchor going down.
One analyst said the black smoke probably meant they went into full reverse to slow down. But sometimes doing that can cause you to turn, which could be why it drifted right.
