I've never really worried a lot about meeting places, I travel a lot and my job takes me into some very sketchy areas at times so I'm used to that aspect of life.

Between here and the other sites I trade on I'm well into double digits on doing deals at peoples houses. A couple of places I didn't get a real warm fuzzy about and politely refused their invitation to come in to complete the transaction. If I flatly refused to meet at peoples houses I would have missed seeing some amazing gun collections including one with close to 500 guns that rivals anything you've seen on the internet short of drug dealers or Saddam's gold plated gun collection.

School parking lots are my favorite...big box retail lots are okay as we'll...never would I go to a strangers house to do a deal, end up part of a skin mask...

Favorite spot is at Lowes, by the sample garden buildings, public but far enough away that people don't stare.

The last time I met someone was at a Home Depot. It was based on the principal of the cameras everywhere and people for witnesses.

Well lit public place. Always be CCing as well.

If its someone I know very well and they have been to my residence before, no biggie. If its a first time deal, its a camera laden, well lit parking lot.
