MOA vs MIL

What's your rifle set up?
One is a Zulu2 223-556. Target with it at 300yards all day.
One is a 6.5cr savage axis. Target with it the same no hold overs on either. Straight dead on.
One is a CVA 50. Cal muzzleloader. Target with it at 171 yards 1 mil hold over for bullet drop.
One is a old Merlin 17hmr bull target with it at 171 yards barely half a mil hold over

Please, tell us all your secrets on long range shooting and rifle set-up. We can all learn a lot from you. I seriously cannot believe that you can consistently hit an 8 inch target all the way out at 300 with a 6.5cm repeatedly. That's some super skills right there.

Also, check your "ballistics calculations." You'll still have almost 1mil hold at 300 with a 47 yard zero.

300 yards is not that hard to play with. I also target that same 300 yards with a 556. It only 16 inches. The 6.5 is 22 inches. If you can't consistently tag an 8 inch plate at 300 yards. You need to visit your local range a bit more.
And a almost mil at 300 yards. You still will tag it without holding.

Did a little digging for you. You have to practice the rest

I think the facetiousness may’ve slid by you brother.

OK, one is not intrinsically better than the other. They are both simply a measurement of an angle.

If you can count to 10, mils really are not difficult.

Dialing amd holding both tend to be simpler and faster using mils. 7.2 mils vs 24.75 moa. Very simple. Quicker and easier to read on the turret and on your reticle. And fewer numbers to remember when on the go.

Neither is "wrong," but moa is for unwashed heathen.
But isn't MOA a finer form of adjustment in a manner of speaking? I mean if we are speaking as a matter of fact even though it might not show up a whole heaping load of a lot on the target.

This isn't going to age well
