You got that right! A voice of reason.EFI - the right fuel amount, into the right cylinder, at the right time .
You can’t beat that with a carb.
Carbs are good for WOT .

I mean I have an extra Holley sniper I'd let go of. plug and play efi +hpI’ll pass on that Chinese stuff and stick with my made in America carbs. 👍🏼
He said Holley. Well I ain't never been a fan of Holley. Rochester, Carter, Edelbrock and Quick Fuel come to mindWhat carb are you referring to that is this much of an issue on your typical American muscle car? Outside of corn fed gas’s issues I’ve never had a problem.
My car starts right up on a cold start. Never had to touch the carb for anything. It doesn't even have an electric choke on it. The Holley becomes trouble after a couple thousand miles. Edelbrock isn't too bad. Quick Fuel, tune it and go. Now an electric fuel pump would be a big benefit.Cold start issues are the biggest problem for carburetor especially in a high performance system. A carburetor will run but it can't do anything a fuel injection system can do better. A fuel injection system will make sure that your engine is running and optimum conditions every second. I'm not saying that carburetors are pain in the rear end it's just they can't perform at an optimum level and deliver peak performance all the time like a fuel injection system can especially off idle and wide open throttle situations. If I had an old car and wanted to keep it original I would use a carbureted system. Not only to keep it original but for nostalgic reasons.
If I had a muscle car with a very high performance engine and I wanted to make sure that I had all the horsepower and torque I could get I would use a fuel injection system. Especially for drivability issues where ultra high performance engines can be a problematic. With the fuel injection system on a very high performance engine you can simply start the engine up and drive immediately. Whereas the carbureted system on that same engine would be a different situation all together. You have to sit there and let the car warm up sufficiently before even attempting to drive the vehicle. I'm not talking about a lightly modded factory engine. I'm talking about a seriously modded high horsepower machine.
That's a great carb!!Qjet worked just fine on my 84 GMC
Quick Fuel for the win. They ain't cheap. They run like a Holley without all the headaches.......Can't get a Carter, that's Edelbrock now. Good carb, but it won't run like a double pumperIF you are going with a carb …. Skip on the Holley and go with a CARTER AFB 4bbl .
They have manual and automatic choke setups and perform well.
Simple design and very good for street to track running.
