I can't believe how over powered most of these deer hunters are on these tiny deer. A 300 win mag on a deer in Georgia is like shooing a rabbit with 30-30.

Even a 30-06 is overkill. A .223 will kill a deer dead! With proper ammo and you hit where every hunter should hit the deer. I would think removing the rear 3/4 of the dear with some of these Kodiak killers would be counter productive.

I’ve had a gentleman give me a pile of his hand loads several years ago. I’m not sure of the projectile & he has since passed on. I may be able to look at them tomorrow & tell. Only have a few left. Buffalo Bore & Underwood are my 2nd & 3rd in that order but I’m thinking they were between 220 & 230.
