My first attempt at polishing

I know it isn't completely done but I just had to put it together and see how it looked

Thanks... It failed in a trade because the finish looked so bad so I figured... What the heck I've been wanting to try a polished finish so.....

Only a few micro scratches left... Oh and the sights but I may just replace those

what steps of sand paper did you use?

150 for the bad scratches and pits (staying away from clean lines)... Rubber mild abrasive wheel. 600 grit sand paper dry then wet and used the same paper after the surface was clogged then 800 grit steel wool... Then never dull wadding.

Since the finish is gone, what about rust?
