Just from sticking my finger in there I can’t feel any protruding but I’ll see if that’s the fix thanks

Try backing out the front take down screw a few turns and see if that solves it. I have seen where the take down screw was over tightened compressing the stock a little so that the screw protrudes into the lug area.

This. Often there are two different length screws. Possibly the long ones are where the short ones should be, usually the front mount.

You were right brother! Screws were put in wrong spots thank you so much!
