near infinite protein idea

Hmm. I don't mind bugs once in a while, but I'd prefer my easy to obtain, and cheap protein to come form beans of all varieties.

In terms of survival, as in "I have no other choice"... yeah, ok. I guess I can get used to it. But the damn bugs are going to have to be ground up or otherwise not look like bugs if my family is going to get on board with this idea.

Beans do provide protein, but it is an incomplete protein. In order to complete the protein one must add corn. ie. cornbread, corn chips, creamed corn, corn on the cobb etc. (A trained nutritionist gave me this information.)

It's a much more environmentally sound form of protein for sure.

It seems like the distaste for eating insects is an an evolutionary remnant that warned people away from eating things that could be potentially dangerous.
