You'd just need a micro SD card if you don't want to pay for their service.

Find a spot to tuck it away and gives good field of view.

I use WYZE. The free monitor means you need to be able to watch when it happens but it's cheap to have monitor subscription.

The EZVIZ cams have motion notifications without a subscription. Just need a MicroSD card.

Mine have a SD card as well. Can only do play back once taken out. Not replay while still in the camera. At least that's what I figured out, lol.

That's weird. I wonder why they did that. Maybe to subtly force you into a subscription?

Don't have that problem with my EZVIZ cams.
